When I see a project I like, I try to figure out how to make it myself. Here are two projects I came across that I did just that. These are rough samples just for the pattern. the scrapbook one is one that I came across on split coast stampers and the envelope card is one that was shown to me by Marie, a talented cardmaker that took a class w/SU.

Good Saturday

Even though I was functioning on minimal sleep, it was a really good day. I taught a paperbag class at Scrapaholics, West Hempstead, using Urban Rhapsody paper, such a yummy line. Today I four students, the most so far, yay!!! I think it went pretty well and everyone was happy with the end result. I'm posting a picture of how it came out.

TGIF

My title says it all. It's been a rough week all around and I'm so very happy it's Friday!!!! I was hoping to do some serious crafting this weekend but have a feeling I'm going to end up taking it easy, maybe reading a book or even get out to the beach for some sun. As I sit here waiting for my daughter to come home (a regular occurence, you know) I started playing with some autumn paper and came up with the paperbag album that follows this post. I also made a disney mini tag album based on a class I took years ago at some scrap expo

Waterfall Paper bag Album

This is a variation of a standard paper bag album. It's called a waterfall album and I had alot of fun making it. I used an old line of memories paper and like the end result.

Shell Album

Since summer is my favorite season, I've been working on all kinds of fun summer mini albums and layouts. Taking the cue from someone on the cricut message board, I used their idea of making a shell mini album. It was lots of fun to make and I thinks it would be a great decor to an end or coffee table. I used K & Co. paper and embellishments Here are some pictures, I'd love feedback.

Another hectic weekend

It's amazing what you can fit into a weekend when you try. I saw a play, saw a movie, crafted, ate out and took care of a friend's house. wow, I'm tired from my weekend!! I had tickets to see Damn Yankees starring Sean Hayes, Cheyenne Jackson and Jane Krakowski. Reviews on it were so-so, but I have to say, I loved the production.
I also stopped by Scrapaholics and took advanatage of their 50% off christmas paper, score! I also did a sample flip flop album to teach in August. I have a picture of the one I did for myself in one of the below posts. The one I'm doing for the store is using K & Co. paper that is absolutely beachy and gorgeous. It's going to be a fun class with a really nice end result!

xmas album

Yes, I know it's only July but it's never too early to think about Christmas. I want to try my hand at a craft fair and thought these would make a nice addition to the handmade items I'm planning on sellling. I'd love any feedback.
