kooza

Last night I went to see Cirque du Soliel’s Kooza at Randall’s Island. I’ve been attending Cirque’s traveling shows for a few years and this was the first one that I attended that felt like it took place in winter. It was cold and wet. I don’t think spring will ever find its way to NY. In any event. After paying $5.00 to get of the RFK bridge (formerly the Triboro) and another unbelievable $25.00 to park on Randall’s Island (highway robbery), we entered the big tent for the show. There wasn’t any kind of tent or stage decorations like their past shows, but it was an extremely enjoyable performance. The music and costumes were fantastic and their acts were wonderful. Despite the wet weather we all had a great evening out.

handy organizer

Coupon organizer. So, I was watching some odd video on you tube and got the idea of creating a coupon organizer to handle all the stray papers that live in the bottom of my bags. Using the bind it all and some decorated envelopes it was very easy. Now, there is a place for all those receipts, ticekts, giftcards, etc... and it looks pretty.

busy spring

As spring is officially here, (not that you would know it by the weather), I've decided to do fun things in the city, i.e. concerts and plays. So, to kick it off. I went to see Guys and Dolls on Broadway starring Oliver Platt and Lauren Graham. Here's a link in case anyone is interested: http://www.guysanddollsbroadway.com/cast-creative.html
The play was well done and enjoyable. The only complaint was the theatre. It was mad small!!! No leg room whatsoever. Afterwards, we ate at Becco's which was wonderful. Would recommend their prix fixed pasta dinner.

I've also recently saw the Denis Leary Rescue Me Tour at Radio City Music Hall. He and the guys from Rescue me were hilarious and they even premiered the first episode of Season 5 which was an unexpected treat.

My next event will be Cirque du Soliel's Kooza on Randall's Island scheduled for 4/22. I've seen all the shows they have performed in Randall's Island and so far have only been disappointed with one... Allegio. Hopefully this one is good.

Sunday was my birthday (on Easter) and I went to the Milleridge Inn w/the family for dinner which was nice. I only wish the weather was warmer. On Saturday I got together w/my scrapping friends and spent the day doing what I enjoy most.

I spent the better part of an hour trying to score tickets for New Kids on the Block who will be performing in Jones Beach in June. I finally did, much to my daughter's relief.

Look who came to my

Look who came to my birthday. The office celebrated my birthday today and there was special appearance made by none other than Edward Cullen. The best part is I get to take him home with me. LOL
