It's really been a long time since I've been on my blog, I guess that means that I'm out living instead of inside writing on the blog.
My love of scrapbooking has been challenged with a new love of all things knit and crochet. I remember learning how to knit as a child but as I never did it very well left it in my childhood and never looked back. Well, about a year ago a saw a friend making a scarf that looking so nice I wanted to try to make one for myself and low and behold, knitting as an adult was so much easier than knitting as a child. I went to Michaels and took a crochet and knit class and off I went. I'm not a purist, I will both knit and crochet depending on pattern and look.
Since I haven't updated this blog is such a long time, I felt this weekend would be a great opportunity to do a little catching up. I haven't posted all summer but that is to be expected as I try to get the beach as much as possible.
Right now I have a few projects that I'm working on. First off a wedding album that my brother asked me to make for a friend that got married in Central Park in June. I'm also working on an insane paperbag book that I found off of Youtube by Kathy of Paper Phenonomen. It's albsolutely insane. I will be posting pictures when I'm done. I've also been playing with favor ideas for my daughter's bridal shower. I'm not sure what directions I'm going in with that.
So, stay tuned for pictures of things I'm going to be creating on Sunday. I'm not scared of any ole hurricane.
Since it's been such a horribe winter, I haven't ventured out to my favorite scrapbook store, Scrapper's Playground in quite a while. Sunday, Cheryl, Tanya and myself went out there for a very relaxing day of crafting. I made these birhtday cards which I think are quite elegant. Cheryl was working on a fantastic mini book that I, of course, had to do for myself, so this is my version of her book.
